How to meditate when you don’t have time

I’m bingeing on Instagram content at the moment as an inspirational source to pro-activise me – not a real word, I know (!) –  And I am hearing over and over again that ‘you just need to meditate’…

Whilst this is great in principle, in practice, this is not realistic with two children running around!!!  I am a busy working mother, trying to run two businesses and a household with mini-humans and still be fabulous. I. DO. NOT. HAVE. TIME. TO. MEDITATE.

If I sit anywhere in my house for more than 30 seconds undisturbed, a mini-human or the Frenchman, will find me and ask me something (generally the location of a lost item!). So, NO. Meditation is physically not possible in my house.

However, I have found a solution, life hack, call it what you will, that I’d like to share with you. Whilst the mini-humans are having dinner, or just after if they are chilling in front of the tv for half an hour (possibly more sometimes, but I don’t want you to judge me!), then I sit outside or in a different room and I write. It could be to do lists, or it could be a gratitude journal. But this is my form of meditation. It’s my reflection time. And I do it in pretty notebooks.

What’s your form of meditative time? Where you can think about you/your goals, and your next steps in life, or just appreciate where you are now? Find your corner and detach. Xx
