What they don’t tell you as a working Mama-zon

Oh gosh, where to start ?!? Before having children, I was a happy 30-something career gal, in a positive long-term relationship living in London. The Frenchman and I knew we had got to a point where change was going to happen. Was needed. We both felt super happy, but that something niggling was missing… So, we got married and produced two mini-humans. As a proactive alpha-female career diva, I knew I could handle this. This was just a project that needed managing – how naive was I ?!

As a working mother I encountered so many issues to navigate (as we all have !), from finding and retaining good quality childcare, to what to feed them for dinner (a never-ending source of trauma for me !), to managing my work delivery in a competitive consultancy field.

SPOILER ALERT: At no point have I EVER got the balance right. But what I did discover was the secret to juggling all these balls in the air. For me, it was aiming for Just Good Enough. This has been, and continues to be, the mantra that sustains me, my family, my job and my sanity.

What is the one secret to finding the right balance for you? Xx
