How clear are you on your future direction? Do you have a 5-year, 10-year, 20 year plan?
Recently, we had a colossal amount of rain here in London, and whilst I am the first to champion Britain and the English weather (it’s so beautifully green here for a reason….. it rains…. a lot !), even I had a momentary wobble and called the Frenchman at his office and said: “We are moving to the South of France when we retire – I want sun and warmth !” So, this is definitely in my 20-year plan, a beautiful 2-bedroom garden flat in central London and a villa in the South-West of France, near Bordeaux. Et voila – the 20-year plan sorted.
What about my five and ten-year plans? My vision is to continue consultancy projects for as long as they interest me, whilst championing and supporting working SuperMums in any way I can. Whilst the children are at school, I will continue to work in London. This covers my 5-10 year plan. For the 10-year plan mark, we can start to downsize, as they will be at university, so we won’t need a large house and garden.
